NC State Wolfpack added another key piece to its offensive line class with the commitment of Bryson Hurt, a 6-foot-4, 300-pound lineman from Gainesville, Georgia.
Hurt chose Dave Doeren and the Wolfpack over West Virginia, Colorado, Georgia, Rutgers and a host of other programs after a recruiting battle that remained fluid until the end.
The Mountaineers pushed, but NC State’s long-term investment ultimately won out.
“I’ve known Coach Tujague since my freshman year,” Hurt said, highlighting the importance of relationships in his decision.
Hurt’s family also liked NC State, and being closer to home was a factor.
After visiting Raleigh four times, including his official visit, Hurt has grown increasingly comfortable with both the city and the program.
NC State Wolfpack will face Virginia Cavaliers on 2026-08-29 in their next game.
And with Coach Doeren leading the way, Hurt is excited to play for the Wolfpack.
But it was the relationships that ultimately sealed the deal for Hurt.
So what does this mean for the Wolfpack’s offensive line?
Hurt got to spend time with some of the committed guys, and he liked how he felt around them.
The people, the relationships, how his family felt, and the development as an offensive lineman all were reasons he committed to NC State.
